Two hours from Lisbon, halfway between the countryside and the sea stands an award-winning rural hotel set in an an exquisite natural park. Time stands still here and yet everything pulses with energy. No natural element is forgotten. The breeze rustles through the pines and grasses and cools down theresident farm-animals.  One can have invigorating swims in three options of pool and nearby beaches. There is space to breathe on this 9 hectare property, and plenty of private tranquil oases where one can reflect and clear one's mind with fresh country air. The farm-to-table restaurant champions fresh produce from the earth, and the flames from the pizza oven radiate warmth and light into the starlit evenings.

This is a peaceful place, but it is certainly somewhere to feel alive.

Owning a piece of heaven where social responsibility and sustainability are highlighted is possible. This is because it is really the Alentejo way of life; it is intrinsic to all daily choices.There are 10 fully equipped self-catering units for sale (out of 38 units) at the Farm-stay. Privacy and autonomy are a top priority but one can also benefit from all the hotel amenities: restaurant, wellness area with indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna and jacuzzi, stables, dog kennels, farm, vegetable gardens, mixed orchard, yoga practice, event's building and green houses. Since opening in 2018, the hotel has allied itself with Portuguese textile makers, furniture designers and artisans. Art is not forgotten amongst all the natural elements,in fact artist residency programmes are regular occurrences here as are music showcases.

About the Area

Zambujeira do Mar, a small town of 912 inhabitants, and its transcendently beautiful beach - which forms part of the Southwest Alentejo Natural Park are a 15 min drive from the Farm Hotel. This unspoilt stretch of coastline is raw, rugged and windswept, with cliffs, golden brown sand and ocean as far as the eye can see. In August Zambujeira do Mar is a centre of much festivity. The MEO Sudoeste Music Festival and traditional markets and processions take place bringing much excitement to the village and surrounding areas. Vila Nova de Milfontes, Carvalhal Beach, Amàlia Beach are all a short drive from Zambujeira. São Tetonio, Odemira - the closest village to the farm is known for its June festivities in which the streets are decorated with paper flowers. Vicentino Wine Shop is also worth a visit for wine lovers. Surfers, hikers, bird-watchers, seafood enthusiasts, fans of Alentejo sweet potato and bread will be delighted with all the region has to offer.
